Posted on 12th February 2018
Next on our list of Top Primary Schools in LE3 is Stokes Wood Primary School, coming in at Number 12. Tucked away off Groby Road, close to Stokes Drive, the school is hidden away and is surprisingly large.
Some headlines about the school are below;
It's a larger than average primary school for the area, having just over 300 pupils
The majority of the pupils are White British
We found this quite interesting:- The school is of such a size that it offers both part-time nursery and two reception classes
The properties close-by to Stokes Wood Frith Primary School are mainly residential owner occupier houses and bungalows of various ages. Around Garland Crescent and Joyce Road the houses were built around the Second World War, and there in fact a small amount of Victorian Terraced properties in the area. As you move closer to the school the properties are newer and were built around the 1970's.
Prices in this area of Leicester can offer some good value for money, the prices for some reason are lower here than across the other side of Groby Road and towards Anstey Lane. The generous mix of property also allows people to have several options, whether they are looking for bungalows, smaller two bed starter homes, and right up to 4 and 5 bed detached properties that are available. A strong community has loped in the area and it proves popular with occupiers who are generally reluctant to move from the area.
